Ambrosia
Ambrosia is a wine merchant company located in Macau-en-Médoc (Margaux) and created in 1990.
The company is a member of Bordeaux Négoce since its creation.
Ambrosia distribues several Châteaux in Haut-Médoc and in Saint-Émilion’s satelites in exclusivity. They are owned by the same family group.
Ambrosia calls upon the skills of oenologists and agronomic engineers (Vitigestion, sister company of Ambrosia) who guarantee the quality of its wines.
Ambrosia distributes 70% of its products at export (70% in the European Union and 30% in third countries) and 30% in France.
Ambrosia has a storage warehouse of 2000 m2 and a labelling machine, allowing a better stock management and the preparation of orders.
Thanks to this warehouse, located at Château Maucamps, we have only one pick-up point and one invoicing.
Restaurant La Bise, Le Havre
Ambrosia markets its wines directly (AOC and château bottlings), thus guaranteeing perfect control of its distribution channels.
Ambrosia offers a range of wines from all the Bordeaux Region, but also a selection of the best French and Foreign Appellations as well as a selection of Crémants & Champagnes.
Our Properties
The properties distributed exclusively by Ambrosia are located in the Haut-Médoc and in Saint-Emilion. They all belong to the same family group, which also owns the merchant company.
The first Château of the family is Château Lescalle, built in 1875 by Mr. Emmanuel Tessandier, and gifted to them in 1930. Château Maucamps is acquired in 1954, followed by the other properties.
The properties produce on many Bordeaux Appellations (Margaux, Haut-Médoc, Lussac & Montagne Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux Supérieur and Bordeaux).
The Médoc properties, neighbor of Grands Crus Classés such as Château La Lagune AOC Haut-Médoc, 3ème Grand Cru Classé de 1855), Château Château Giscours (AOC Margaux, 3ème Grand Cru Classé de 1855) or Château Château Dauzac (AOC Margaux, 5ème Grand Cru Classé de 1855) and Château Cantemerle (AOC Haut-Médoc, 5ème Grand Cru Classé de 1855), benefit from the best terroir of Garonne gravel.
Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieurs are produced in the Médoc (only 1% of Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieurs are produced there) on “Palues” (clay) soils, known for the quality of their wine.
